The Travel Channel has a show with Drew Carey covering the World Cup. It seems that he's a soccer fanatic, and shoots games in his spare time. I mean a hard core soccer fanatic. So the Travel Channel sent him to Germany, with a crew and some help, like private jets to get from place to place. And they got him tickets and press creds so he can shoot the matches.

Sound like fun to you?

He's walking around with a US soccer strip, a US Soccer hat and went to be disappointed when the US lost.

He's walking around Germany, getting drunk (on German beer), talking to fans and having the best time possible with TV cameras around.

It looks like the best time ever. People are thousands deep watching games on TV. When the Germans won, they went batshit. The beer, the food, the fans, this is a fun thing to watch if you can't be there.

And their taping and editing time is mega tight. That match was Monday and the show aired Thursday. While he's still covering matches and bouncing around Germany. You're watching it and you forget that he's talking about THIS week.

It airs on Thursdays at 9 on the Travel Channel and should repeat over the weekend
